The European Community on Computational
Methods
in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) was founded in 1993, with the
support of 18 European associations which federate more than 10,000 scientists,
to promote joint efforts of European universities, research institutes
and industries which are active in numerical methods and computer simulation
in Engineering and Applied Sciences. |
|
The members of ECCOMAS are the European regional
or national societies or appropiate organizations which are representative
in Computational Modelling, Numerical Methods and Simulation in Engineering
and Applied Sciences. |
|
ECCOMAS will be a natural partner of international
societies and associations dealing with computer simulation in Engineering
and Applied Sciences. ECCOMAS will maintain close links with the International
Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM). |
|
It is the vocation of ECCOMAS to progress
in an open and co-operative way, so that it can group all who are interested
in computational methods in a broad sense. |
