Prof. Dr. Bernd Ammann

Conformal geometry, Dirac operators, analysis on manifolds

Bernd Ammann is interested in geometric partial differential equations on manifolds, partially motivated by physical problems. His works can be roughly separated into three groups: 1. conformal geometry, in particular the Yamabe-problem, the positive mass theorem, the kernel of the Dirac operator, bordisms. 2. pseudodifferential operators on non-compact manifolds and applications 3. estimations of eigenvalues of Dirac and Laplace operators and relations to the generalized Weierstrass representation.
