Interdisciplinary Research Group

R. Seifert plans to build up an interdisciplinary research group using methods of cellular and molecular pharmacology, confocal microscopy, protein biochemistry, biophysics, molecular modeling and analysis of gene knock-out and transgene animals. Research will be integrated into the existing Medicinal Chemistry Program at the University of Regensburg. Major collaborators will be Profs. A. Buschauer and S. Elz (Institute of Pharmacy) and Profs. O. Reiser and B. König (Institute of Organic Chemistry). The research of the Seifert laboratory will also be integrated into the Molecular Kidney Physiology Program directed by Prof. A. Kurtz (Dept. of Physiology) and the Regenerative Medicine Program directed by Prof. M. Nerlich (Dept. of Traumatology).
