The aim of my PHD Thesis is to characterize changes that occur across the peripartum period, regarding hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis regulation and functioning. Specifically, I’m focusing on how the morphology and function of pituitary and adrenal glands are affected in the peripartum period.
