RIGeL Structure

RIGeL is structured into four disciplines which represent the main areas of research in Life Sciences at the University of Regensburg:

• Biomedicine
• Cellular Biochemistry and Biophysics
• Molecular Ecology and Evolution
• Neurobiology

Each section has a Section Coordinator and two Student Representatives.

The Graduate School is coordinated by a Managing Director, a Management Assistant and a Scientific Advisory Board (Wissenschaftlicher Beirat).

The Doctoral Committee (Promotionskommission) of the Faculty of Biology and Preclinical Medicine decides about the acceptance of PhD students, and about issues of the 'Promotionsordnung'.
