Seminar with instruction in presentation techniques
Students receive specific assistance in presentation techniques, e.g. oral presentation with power point, poster presentation or writing of an essay.
In seminars students give an oral presentation (2 CP). Additionally students have the option to prepare a scientific poster or an essay (2 CP). This has to be clarified with the lecturer of the seminar.

Poster preparation to the topic of the master thesis
Design of a scientific poster under the instruction of the supervisor of the master thesis.
Courses (lecture, seminar, exercises) in scientific history, psychology, philosophy etc., in which the principles of a discussion about biological research of social interest (e.g. cloning, genetically modified organisms, nature conservation ...) and a reflection of the scientific mode of practice are mediated to students of biology . Botanical, zoological or industrial Excursions offered from the faculty. Participation in botanical or zoological excursions is only for students that have selected core modules in the specific field of study.

Internship in companies where biologists are employed (e.g. Geneart).
