Reset your password – collect your new password in person

This is how you get help if your password has expired or if you have forgotten your password.

Students

As a student please come to the helpdesk of the computer centre. Please bring your identity card or passport.

Staff

As a staff member please turn to your workgroup manager. In case of emergency university staff can directly turn to the user administration of the computer centre. Please bring your identity card or passport.

Psylock

New password with Psylock

You can also renew your forgotten CC password by using Psylock. To do so, please register in our "Psylock Password Reset Portal":

The Password Rules

Password has expired

You must reset your password on each account after 90 days maximum for security reasons The CC password system remembers your used passwords so that they cannot be re-used. This is true for all passwords of the last 365 days that have been valid for at least 24 hours. However, only the last ten passwords will be checked.

Setting your password

Please make sure that your password...

must be a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 15 characters
must not contain any umlauts or spaces
can only contain the following special characters: (-$#[]{}!().,*:;_)
must both contain letters and numbers
must not contain the same character repeated four times or more
must not be your CC account user name
must not be empty.
