Eating and Drinking on Campus

The Regenburg Campus offers a wide variety of menu options, from the refectories and cafeterias run by Student Services to the Uni Pizzeria Universo, the various coffee bars and the grocery shop Lebensmittel Hechtbauer on the university’s forum. So you have plenty of options to choose from – if you keep in mind the opening times and the days when dining outlets are closed.

Opening Times of the Refectories

You will find the opening times of the refectories and cafeterias that are run by Niederbayern/Oberpfalz Student Services on the Student Services Homepage.

Opening Times of the "Lebensmittel Hechtbauer" grocery shop

Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. – 6 a.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 4 a.m.

Opening Times of the Coffee Bar "primo Espresso"

Monday – Thursday: 7.30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday: 7.30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Opening Times of the Italian Coffee Bar in the Audimax Foyer

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.

Go Cashless with Your Mensa Card - Refectories and Cafeterias

Information for new students: Please note that the refectories and cafeterias run by Student Services will only accept payment by Mensakarte (Mensa Card). This payment method ensures fast service as no time is wasted at the cashier looking for the right change. It also makes the catering administration more efficient which saves costs and time.

Guests or students that happen to have forgotten their Mensa Card may pay cash. However, a 10 percent surcharge is applied for each transaction. So going cashless is worth your while. If you have any questions, please contact Niederbayern/Oberpfalz Student Services.

All other catering outlets, such as the Uni Pizzeria, Lebensmittel Hechtbauer and the coffee bars accept cash.
