Research

Our department is primarily focussing on fundamental and applied research research. We are working in a large network of co-operation partners and diverse projects supported with third-party funds (e.g. various German federal ministries). Current research foci include:

• Sexual Deviance (pedophilia, sexual sadism)
• Sexual Abuse of children and adolescents
• Out-patient prevention and treatment program for pedophile clients
• Psychopathy and dissocial personality disorder
• Biopsychological roots of aggressive behaviour
• Evaluation of out-patient forensic aftercare
