Sprechstunde im WS 2016/17:
Di, 14-15 Uhr
I studied English, German and History at the University of Heidelberg from 2002 to 2005, and completed a master’s degree in English literature at the University of Oxford in 2006. My studies were funded by a “Stipendium für Besonders Begabte”, granted by the Bavarian Government.
From 2006 to 2010, I was enrolled at Magdalen College, Oxford , working towards a doctorate in English literature. I was awarded my DPhil in August 2010. In September 2011, I was a Beinecke Library Visiting Fellow at Yale University.
Up to this point, my research has focused on British drama of the nineteenth and early twentieth century. My doctoral thesis explored the complex relationship of late-Victorian women playwrights with the emergence of first-wave feminism. I am currently in the process of turning the thesis into a book. I have also started a new project on the political drama of J. M. Barrie.
