International Day

International Day at UR

Every summer the International Office organizes an International Day on campus. All international students have the opportunity to present their home countries and home institutions. This is a great opportunity for them to meet other students and exchange experiences.     

Since 2010,  we have included our Regensburg students (who have just completed a semester studying abroad) in the event.  The Regensburg students participate very actively during the International Day.

Late morning there is a student fair with stands about the different countries and exchange possibilities. For the International Day 2012, more than 30 different countries were represented by German and international students. The student fair helps students who are interested in spending some time abroad to meet former exchange students and exchange "first-hand information".

In the evening the International Office invites all new international students as well as all German students who have just returned from their study abroad to a Bavarian dinner.

"Where is Mickiewicz?"

Another event included in the International Day was a photo exhibition from a former ERASMUS-student: Ms. Barbara  Standke, an art student, who spent an ERASMUS-stay at the University of Torun in Poland during 2010/11. Her photo exhibition presented pictures taken during her time in Torun.
