Applying as a Tranfer Student

If you already are studying abroad or have already completed a degree and would like to continue your studies at the University of Regensburg and with that have the exams you passed in your home country recognized by the University, please refer to the individual faculties. The application for recognition for studies abroad must be directed toward the examination board of that faculty so that the studies from abroad are documented exactly.

For most subjects it is useful to apply first for the first semester and then (after having started your studies) for an approval of transfer credits. Above all, in the subjects with restrictions on enrolment it is often easierfirst to receive a place of study for the first semester and then to be upgraded later. However, you must take into account that not all courses you passed in your home country can be accepted (depending on the subject of studies).

For these state examinations (law, pharmacy, medicine, and dentistry), you must apply to the examination office responsible for recognizing credits earned from the study abroad. You can get a list of addresses of the examination offices from the AAA.
