During your stay in Regensburg you will need sufficient health insurance. This is necessary not only in order to receive your residence permit but also as the German health system is good but fairly expensive.

Regensburg is well supplied with a network of general practinioners as well as with specialists and hospitals. The university hospital is close by to the university campus. However, they do not offer any free treatments for university memembers.
