Erich Renz studied Musicology and Law (B.A.), and Creative Industries (M.A.) in Munich, Mannheim and Brisbane. He worked as a research intern at the University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam where he published a paper about business model characteristics in creative cities. Erich wrote his master’s thesis about data-driven product development which was supervised by the industrial designer Dr. Johanna Schoenberger. He was a contributing author to the Industry 4.0 Portal where he wrote regularly about digitization in the publishing, media and fashion sectors.
In December 2015 Erich started as director of product strategy at the AR & VR software company “Vuframe” until April 2017. During the winter semester 2016/17 Erich hold practical seminars in the fields of Digital Business Models and Virtual Reality in Journalism & Advertising at the University of Applied Sciences Ansbach and Popakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg.
Erich Renz is a PhD candidate and has been working as a teaching assistant to the Chair of Innovation and Technology Management since April 2017.
