Kerstin Rego is Senior Lecturer at the Chair of Business Administration, especially Leadership and Organization since May 2020. She studied Social Sciences at the University of Hannover between 2003 and 2008. From 2008 on, she was a research assistant at the Chair of Organization, Department of Economics and Business Administration, at TU Chemnitz. From 2016 to 2017, she worked at the Chair for Sociology of Organizations at TU Berlin. Kerstin received her PhD at the TU Chemnitz in 2018. She has also been working in a research project on “Digital process control in the ‘industry 4.0’”, funded by Hans-Böckler-Stiftung, first at the TU Munich and later at JKU Linz from 2019 to 2021.
Kerstin’s research interest concentrates on the relation between digitalization and organization in general. In particular, she is interested in the way(s) organizational power constellations change though processes of digitalization. She investigates this both in the field of health care and in industrial companies. Her research is grounded theoretically in practice- and power approaches. Research methods are mainly qualitative, such as interviews and non-participatory observations.
Furthermore, her research interests also include topics of professional research (such as HRM or in the field of medicine), emotion research, especially in the health care sector, and governance research (e.g. supervisory boards).
