Teaching

The chair offers courses in empirical labour market research and applied microeconometrics that are creditable for the BA and MSc programme in Economics. Micro-econometric studies typically rely on survey or administrative data sets, e.g. at the individual, household or firm level.

A prerequisite for a thesis supervision in the area of applied labour economics is the successful participation in one of the chair’s courses. The chair’s close connection to the IAB in Nuremberg provides under certain conditions the opportunity to write an empirical thesis based on the IAB’s micro data sets (typically within an internship at IAB).
