By undertaking a PhD at the Chair of business chemistry, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative research topics that will shape our future economy and society. You will discuss your research in interdisciplinary workshops at the University of Regensburg and within inter-university networks, present it at national and international conferences, and publish it in academic journals. In doing so, you will work closely with fellow PhD students and the professor. If you combine your PhD with a role as an assistant professor, you will pass on your knowledge directly to the next generation through seminars and student projects, thereby making a valuable contribution to teaching. The diversity and variety of tasks and challenges mean that your doctoral studies are likely to be the phase of your life in which you develop most significantly, both professionally and personally. In this way, we lay the foundations together for your successful career in academia, business or consultancy.

The PhD programme at the Chair of Business Chemistry is aimed at candidates who have completed an interdisciplinary degree (e.g. business chemistry, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, technology and management) or a degree in economics (e.g. business administration, economics). The Chair is affiliated with both the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy and the Faculty of Business, Economics and Real Estate at the University of Regensburg. Depending on your academic background, you can therefore obtain either a Doctor of Economics (Dr. rer. pol.) or a Doctor of Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. nat.) degree with us.

A PhD at the Chair of Business Chemistry offers:
