Research

The Chair of Business Chemistry (Prof. Dr Christian Weckenborg) operates at the interface between industrial management, sustainability and chemical product development. The interdisciplinary team works on selected issues in the fields of process and plant management, logistics management, sustainable chemical industry and project management in research and development. The aim is to support industrial, political and societal stakeholders in their decision-making. To this end, quantitative methods such as holistic sustainability assessment, mathematical optimisation and simulation are employed.
