Tasks
The Women's Representative:
- promotes equality between women and men and ensures that female scientists, female teaching staff, and female students are not disadvantaged.
- acts as an expert advisor in connection with the awarding of scholarships to young female scientists.
- is a voting member of all faculty appointment committees; ensuring that there is no gender-specific discrimination in appointment procedures and that qualified female applicants are given adequate consideration.
- has funds available from the University of Regensburg's Financial Incentive System (FAS), which can be used to provide individual support to (early-career) female researchers as part of their qualification process.
- cooperates closely with the office of the university's women's representative and regularly attends meetings with the women's representatives of all other faculties at the University of Regensburg.
- is the contact person for cases of sexual harassment.
- is the contact person in all cases where relevant problems arise.
