News: We are hiring: PhD position in Ecological Data Science

We are looking for a PhD student to join the AG Hartig (Theoretical Ecology) in the field of ecological data science / deep learning.

Join the Theoretical Ecology Group (external link, opens in a new window) at the University of Regensburg (external link, opens in a new window) - we are currently looking for candidates to fill a PhD Position (1+2.5 years, 75% E13) on Ecological Machine Learning, as part of the BaySenseAI project. The goal of this project is to build a multi-modal AI system that integrates a wide range of traditional and novel biodiversity data and sensors (e.g. surveys, eDNA, acoustic sensors) and predicts species composition at any point in space and time at as broad as possible taxonomic breath.
