Reporting of animals used for scientific purposes 2020

The reports for the year 2020 are due on 31 March 2021 according to § 1 Versuchstiermeldeverordnung. The data must be transmitted to the responsible authority (for the city of Regensburg: Umweltamt).

Information on Animal Transfer

Import of animals

In view of the above: It is expressly pointed out that animals from non-certified breeding farms can only be imported if the management of the ZTL has received a corresponding import registration (members' area) at least one week in advance! Animals that have not been properly registered may not be accepted.

Export of animals

Likewise, animals may only be shipped after the corresponding export registration (members' area) has been submitted.


Responsible Authorities

Approvals and notifications of experimental projects (including ongoing procedures) from the UR or UKR are processed by the Government of Lower Franconia.

The City of Regensburg is responsible for import permits according to § 11a (4) of the Animal Welfare Act (e.g. mice from non-EU countries).
