The courses belonging to the "German and European Studies Program  For Exchange Students" are part of an interdisciplinary and university-wide program which provides English-taught courses that are specifically designed for students with an interest in the history, culture or politics of Germany and Europe.

  • These courses are taught with a mixed language component. Please contact the instructor for information on how the courses are conducted. In most cases, the lecture is taught in German, and the tutorial in English. In some individual cases, the language of instruction is switched to English on demand. Therefore it is important that students contact the instructors for details.

Please note that courses in busines/economics/management information systems and real estate usually consists of a lecture and a tutorial/exercise group. In most cases it is not possible to take only the lecture or only the tutorial but students are expected to do both: lecture and tutorial/exercise course.
The 6 ECTS listed for most courses are therefore only awarded if you pass both the lecture and the tutorial together - unless otherwise indicated.

For summer semester 2024, please also have a look at the English courses of Management Information Systems at the moment still part of the Business/Economics faculty.
From winter 2024/25 on, these courses will be moved to the FIDS course offer as well.
