The Press Officer is responsible for enhancing the prestige and visibility of the University through press relations management. He is the point of contact for all journalists working in the local, regional, national, and international media. He provides information on all aspects of the University's work, activities and events, promoting research and achievements. This involves publishing press releases, organising press conferences, monitoring media coverage and establishing contacts between journalists and university members. The Press Officer also supports the publication of the University of Regensburg magazine “signatUR”, the Annual Report and a couple of promotional brochures. In addition, he is in charge of writing greetings and speeches for the Rector of the University.
