Nutzung von E-Medien via Shibboleth mit RZ-Account

Wie und wann kann ich E-Books und weitere E-Medien über meinen RZ-Account nutzen?

Die Nutzung von E-Books und anderen E-Medien ist bei einigen Anbietern (siehe untenstehende Liste) nicht nur über die Anmeldung im Uninetz via VPN, sondern ebenfalls über die Anmeldung mit dem eigenen RZ-Account möglich. Die Anmeldung via RZ-Account funktioniert über Shibboleth. Shibboleth ist ein Verfahren zur verteilten Authentifizierung (Wer bist du?) und Autorisierung (Was darfst du?) für Webanwendungen.

Mit Shibboleth können Mitarbeiter und Studierende der Universität Regensburg bei einigen Anbietern (siehe unten) auch außerhalb von VPN auf die lizenzierten elektronischen Medien der Universitätsbibliothek zugreifen.

Sie müssen sich nur einmal über die Seite des jeweiligen Anbieters bei Ihrer Heimateinrichtung mittels Ihrer RZ-Kennung authentisieren um Zugriff auf die lizenzierten Inhalte zu erhalten (web-based Single-Sign-On). Diese Anmeldung ist dann auch für andere Anbieter, bei denen wir Shibboleth aktiviert haben, gültig und Sie müssen sich somit innerhalb eines bestimmten Zeitraums nicht erneut mit Ihrer RZ-Kennung anmelden.
