Study
The chairs and professorships organised at the Institute of Educational Science offer teaching in various teaching degree programmes.
These include
- the education degree programme for all teaching degrees
- the teacher training programme for primary schools
- the teacher training programme for special needs education
- the teacher training programme for secondary schools
- the extension programme in media education
- the doctoral programme
The Educational Science degree programme(§32 LPO I (external link, opens in a new window) and §25 and §25b of the respective valid examination and study regulations for the university examination part) is divided into several sub-areas, only some of which are organised at the Institute of Educational Science.

Educational Science is divided into three fields:
- General pedagogy
- School education
- Educational psychology
You can find more detailed information on the modules in the individual areas.
You can flexibly integrate the education programmes into your Timetable. A total of 35 CP must be completed by the State Examination. You decide for yourself when you take which modules.
Please note that there are school type-specific guidelines (primary, secondary and intermediate schools) for education in the GOP (basic and orientation examination).
