On 18 June 2026, Nina Wunder took part in the Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference 2026 in Regensburg, presenting a poster. As part of the event, internationally recognised researchers, industry experts and early-career academics presented their latest work and developments in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence. The specialist presentations offered fascinating insights into current research topics whilst also highlighting concrete applications for society, the economy and the world of work. The programme was complemented by a poster session, which illustrated the diversity of artificial intelligence’s fields of application and the importance of interdisciplinary research approaches. At the same time, the poster session provided an opportunity to engage in conversation with researchers and practitioners from various disciplines, to discover new perspectives and to discuss current developments within the data science community.

Women in Data Science (WiDS) is an international initiative aimed at promoting exchange and networking in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence. WiDS aims to increase the visibility of women in data-driven research and application fields and to make their outstanding contributions accessible to a wider audience. WiDS is explicitly aimed at people of all genders and creates an open platform for professional and interdisciplinary exchange within the data science community. Further information can be found on the WiDS website (external link, opens in a new window).
