About the degree program
This interdisciplinary Master’s degree program examines the causes, manifestations and consequences of crime, violence and aggression. To this end, it brings together criminological theory with multidisciplinary perspectives and findings from current research into violence and aggression to form an interdisciplinary degree program.
Within the modules, students attend courses from various disciplines: law, criminology, (neuro)biology, medicine, (forensic) psychiatry, psychology, political science, sociology, theology, and linguistics and cultural studies.
The Standard Period of Study is 4 semesters (120 LP).
Preferably, graduates of degree programs in the relevant disciplines who hold a first university degree may pursue further qualifications at the University of Regensburg to obtain a ‘Master of Arts (M.A.) in criminology and violence studies’.
