Medical didactics

The Faculty of Medicine offers a wide range of courses aimed at ensuring and improving the quality of studies at the University of Regensburg. The courses are aimed at members of the teaching staff with different levels of experience and range from courses for lecturers who want to prepare for their first course at the hospital, to post-doctoral students who want to attend advanced training courses in university didactics, to experienced lecturers who want to explore new teaching methods.

Courses

All courses are credited as university didactic training for habilitation candidates with 4 to 6 AE (work units).

Certificates

Certificates can be issued for successful participation in several courses.

From October 2025, you must submit the Certificate in Medical Didactics Basic Level for the Degree of Habilitation. To obtain the certificate, you can choose courses from these 5 subject areas (A - E). Please note the minimum number of work units (WU):

Medical didactics basic level (at least 60 AE in total, of which at least 30 AE med)
(A) Teaching/learning concepts at least 8 units
(B) Presentation & communication at least 8 AE
(C) Examination min. 8 AE
(D) Reflection & evaluation min. 8 AE
(E) Counselling & guidance at least 8 units

The remaining 20 units can be acquired in any subject area. You must acquire a total of at least 60 units, at least 30 of which must be related to medical didactics.
