Teaching

As the Chair of Gynecology and Obstetrics, focusing on Obstetrics, we train all students at the University of Regensburg's Faculty of Medicine in the fields of obstetrics and perinatal medicine, prenatal medicine and pregnancy-related diseases.

Our students attend the main lecture organised by the chair holder, Univ.-Prof. Dr Angela Köninger. They all attend the week-long block placement and also have the opportunity to take part in night shifts in the delivery room. The final year of medical studies, the practical year, can be completed in our clinic with the elective subject of gynecology. We also offer a variety of seminars on the ultra-modern and very practical ultrasound simulator and on the "Victoria" simulation mannequin. Our aim is not only to arouse the interest of medical students in our subject, but also to provide them with a solid grounding so that they have sufficient skills in obstetrics, regardless of the specialisation they wish to pursue.
