News: Burkard Porzelt: Communicating faith correlatively

Bringing religion into play in an educational way opens up communicative processes in which the often unwieldy faith tradition is respected just as much as the subjects encountering it. This introduction explores how such correlation can be conceived theologically, hermeneutically and didactically and what it means in concrete terms for religious education.Starting from the history of the correlative principle, it develops fixed points of a didactic approach suitable for teaching that involves learners in a polyphonic dialogue with the products of faith and life without demanding a confession from them, thus making religion relevant and receivable even in post-Christian times, which is why this book is not only aimed at student teachers and religious workers, but also touches on all fields of practice in which the communicability of faith is at stake.
