What to Expect from German Pronunciation Coaching?
Would you like to speak German more fluently, clearly, and confidently? Then take advantage of the German Pronunciation Coaching services offered by the German as a Foreign Language department. We support you in improving your pronunciation in a targeted way through personalized guidance, expert feedback, and in a motivating learning environment.
In our one-on-one sessions we focus specifically on your personal pronunciation. In our workshops, you work in small groups on selected aspects of German pronunciation.
Our goal is to help you speak more confidently, naturally and intelligibly, always taking into account your individual need and linguistic background.

Who is this service for?
Our German Pronunciation Coaching is open to all international students at the University of Regensburg with a German language proficiency level of A2 or higher.
How does one-on-one pronunciation coaching support you?
In one-on-one coaching sessions, we work with you on your specific pronunciation challenges. Particular attention is given to:
- difficult sounds and sound combinations
- stress and intonation
- speech rhythm and melody
- speaking fluency
You will receive personalized exercises and immediate feedback to help you communicate more confidently in everyday situations.
Duration:
You may attend up to five one-to-one sessions per semester.

Important information regarding registration:
- Registration is only available to students at the University of Regensburg.
- Registrations can only be considered if they are submitted no later than the day before the selected appointment.
- If you are unable to attend an appointment, please notify your pronunciation coach no later than the day before the session.
- Students who miss two appointments without prior notice or fail to cancel in time, will be excluded from the pronunciation coaching service for the remainder of the semester.
How do the pronunciation workshops support you?
Our pronunciation workshops offer the opportunity to work intensively on your German pronunciation in a small group setting. You will benefit from:

- Supportive learning environment
Workshop structure:
A workshop consists of two sessions of two hours each. To ensure effective learning, participants are expected to attend both sessions.

Important information regarding registration:
- The registration closes one week before the first workshop session.
- Participation is open only to international students at the University of Regensburg.
- If you are unable to attend after registering, please cancel your registration by email no later than the day before the workshop: aussprache.daf(at)ur.de
- Participants who are absent without notice will be excluded from the pronunciation coaching services for the remainder of the semester.
