In a world, strongly driven by the value of information and the increased system complexity, there is a forceful need for perfectly operating Information Systems in subject to security and efficiency. The focus of our interests are "state-of-the-art" information systems. Our teaching and research activities are interdisciplinary in line and combine business and information technology know-how. The Chair of Information Systems pursues the goal of state of the art traineeship paired with interesting and innovative research projects.
The chair is part of the Faculty of Informatics and Data Science and the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics (secondary assignment) and supports the spin-off company Nexis GmbH, which provides innovative solutions for the Identity and Access Management. It is also founding member of the Bavarian IT-Security Cluster, a large network of academic institutions, organizations and companies active in the IT security field.
