Course content

The course provides an overview of various prescriptive techniques for data-driven design and control of intelligent production systems, including:

• Robust Optimization
• Stochastic Dynamic Programming
• Reinforcement Learning

Students will implement the methods in case studies in the context of Industry 4.0 and use them to support decision-making in production systems.

Learning goals

• Students know the basic principles of different prescriptive analytics approaches.
• Students learn to select suitable approaches and use them to derive decisions from realistic data sets.
