The Kick-Off-Meeting for the summer term seminar will take place on April 24th, 2024 at 8:30 in room H9.

Prerequisites

Participants in the research seminar need to fulfill the following requirements

• Minimum requirement: one completed Master's degree course by the Chair of Production Management
• Recommended: two completed Master's degree courses by the Chair of Production Management

Contents

Based on the Master's degree courses of the Chair of Production Management, current topics and challenges of production management are covered.

Within the scope of the seminar work:

• students work on a new topic based on scientific literature, their own implementations of Buisness Analytics approaches, or in the Industry 4.0 Lab,
• present their results and discuss them with the other participants,
• write a seminar paper.

Therby, the seminar prepares the students for the writing of their Master’s thesis.

Learning Goals

For a specific topic, the students can:

•     Describe and elaborate on a business problem,
•     position it in the scientific literature,
•     address it with scientific methods,
•     present the obtained results.
