Multisensory RG

The Multisensory Research Group investigates the behaviour, experience, and neuronal mechanisms of human perception. We study multiple sensory systems both individually and in their dynamic interactions - visual, vestibular, proprioceptive, auditory, and olfactory systems - as well as clinically relevant perception disorders. Our work spans fundamental perceptual processes and clinically relevant questions. We integrate rigorous psychophysics with state-of-the-art neuroimaging to understand how the brain constructs unified experience from multiple sensory streams. The group is jointly led by Prof. Dr. Mark W. Greenlee and Prof. Dr. Anton L. Beer. We maintain active collaborations with institutions across Germany and internationally.
