Formal requirements for participation
The regular formal requirements for admission to the degree program are a successfully completed university degree with 240 credit points and at least one year of professional experience as well as at least six months in a relevant leadership or managerial position.
However, if you have a university degree with a lower number of credit points, the lack of entry-level competences can be compensated for by additional professional and leadership experience. The relevant professional and leadership experience must be documented with suitable evidence. Certificates from the employer or other suitable documents can be considered for this purpose.
The following table shows the possible combinations:
| Number of ECTS from the first degree programme | Missing entry competence* | Required duration of professional experience | Experience in a management position** |
|---|---|---|---|
| 240 ECTS | 0 | at least 1 year | at least 6 months |
| 210 ECTS | 30 | min. 1.5 years | min. 6 months |
| 180 ECTS | 60 | min. 2 years | min. 6 months |
*The missing entry competence is calculated from the difference between the regular requirements (240 ECTS) and the scope of your first degree programme; the missing aptitude competence can also be demonstrated by previously successfully completed relevant academic continuing education. These can be module studies or additional studies that are completed with a university certificate.
**Management experience is generally understood to be personnel responsibility in a formal supervisory position, although other management functions (such as project management, account management, team leadership) may also be recognised as leadership experience.
