Research
Foto: UR/Antonia Pröls Building a profile through breadth is the Institute's research motto. In concrete terms, this means the strengthening and targeted research networking of the three core areas of political science: political philosophy, comparative systems studies (East and West) and international relations. In contrast to many other institutes, Regensburg Political Science is thus committed to the principle of presenting itself as a holistic discipline with original questions, content and methods that these three core areas share. Further information on the specific research content and individual projects can be found in the research sections of the chairs and professorships:
- Research Chair of Political Philosophy, Theory and History of Ideas (specialising in theories of democracy)
- Research Chair of Comparative Political Science (focus on Europe)
- Research Chair of Comparative Political Science (focus on Central and East Europe)
- Research Professorship for International Politics and Transatlantic Relations
