During the summer term, Dr Bein is organising a practical seminar in collaboration with the Regensburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). There are still places available!
The practical seminar focuses on the application and communication of political science knowledge in policy consultancy and local government project planning. In collaboration with the Regensburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), participants will spend one and a half project days taking part in a series of workshops to gain hands-on experience in specific areas of political science: policy consultancy, press and public relations, and stakeholder management in local politics. Students will learn to put theoretical concepts into practice, work together as a team, deliver concise and impactful presentations, and write precise policy papers.
The project days on 28 May (4.00–7.00 pm) and 29 May 2026 (9.00 am–3.00 pm) at the IHK will be accompanied by two separate sessions at the university for preparation and follow-up (22 May, 12 June; both on Fridays from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm). The exact schedule will be discussed at the first session on 22 May.
The course requirement is the drafting of a paper in collaboration with the project group. If you have any questions, please contact Simon.Bein@ur.de.
