Simon Bein, Moritz Kinskofer and Kristina Görlach attended the tri-national conference of the German, Austrian and Swiss political science associations at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen on 18 and 19 June. As part of the panel ‘Democracy under pressure: Internal Negotiation Processes and External Challenges”, they also presented their own research project on the “democratic centre” and discussed it with their colleagues. The informal exchanges over coffee and in the evenings are also an integral part of such a conference, where old and new contacts are deepened and forged.
