Anstehende Veranstaltungen

Auch 2025 und 2026 plant das PUR wieder zahlreiche Veranstaltungen, zu denen alle Mitglieder herzlich eingeladen sind. Genauere Informationen zu den jeweiligen Veranstaltungen folgen rechtzeitig über den E-Mailverteiler und auf der Webseite. Bereits feststehende Termine hier schon vorab:

• Gemeinsame Schreibwochen an der Uni: 09.-13.02. & 23.-27.03.
• Wintersemester 25/26: Interdisziplinäres (Post-)Doktorand:innenseminar (IDS) immer donnerstags, 12-14 Uhr c.t.; erste Sitzung am 16.10.; Raum: VG 0.14

In Gemeinschaft an der Dissertation arbeiten - Gemeinsame Schreibwoche

In der vorlesungsfreien Zeit bieten wir wieder unsere beliebten Schreib-Sprints an der Uni an. 

Wir werden uns für zwei kurze, intensive Zeiträume in das Tonstudio der Musikwissenschaft zurückziehen und uns in gemeinsamer Arbeit gegenseitig motivieren. Vollkommen egal an welchem Punkt eurer Diss ihr euch befindet – mitten in der Recherche, in der heißen Schreibphase, in einem aufkommenden Prokrastinationspäuschen oder in den finalen Zügen – ihr seid herzlich willkommen! Von einer Gruppenmotivation können alle profitieren! 

Die Mittagspausen kann wie immer jede:r für sich verbringen oder sich einem gemeinsamen Essen in der Mensa anschließen.

Termin im Februar: 09.-13.02.
Termin im März: 23.-27.03.
Tagesablauf: 09:00h Arbeitsbeginn - 1 Stunde Mittagspause (gemeinsam in der Mensa oder jede:r für sich) - 17:00h Feierabend.

Masterclass: Melancholie & Empathie in der Promotionsphase

Historische Emotionsforschung im interdisziplinären Diskurs

für die jährliche Masterclass des PUR konnten wir die interdisziplinär arbeitende Musikhistorikerin Prof. Dr. phil. Marie Louise Herzfeld-Schild (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien, Institut für Musikwissenschaft und Interpretationsforschung) gewinnen! 
Wir laden interessierte Doktorand:innen und Postdocs ganz herzlich zu ihrer Masterclass zum Thema „Melancholie und Empathie in der Promotionsphase. Historische Emotionsforschung im interdisziplinären Diskurs“ ein. Die Veranstaltung findet am Freitag, d. 16. Januar 2026 im großen Sitzungssaal (PT 3.0.79) von 09:30 bis 17:00 Uhr statt.

Inhalte: 
Frau Prof. Dr. Herzfeld-Schild wird gemeinsam mit den Teilnehmenden darüber diskutieren, wie Forschung und Promotion über Fächergrenzen hinaus gelingen können und auf Fragen zu Promotion und akademischem Lebenslauf eingehen. In einem zweiten Teil setzen wir uns mit ausgesuchten Texten zu historischer Emotionsforschung und Interdisziplinarität auseinander und besprechen interdisziplinäre Schnittstellen der eigenen Promotions-/Forschungsthemen.

Für die Masterclass können sich alle Promovierende und Postdocs der Fakultäten SLK und PKGG um eine Teilnahme bewerben; PUR-Mitglieder werden jedoch bevorzugt zugelassen. Die Teilnehmer:innenzahl ist auf 12 Personen begrenzt. Eine Anmeldung ist bis zum 21.12.2025 möglich und gilt als verbindlich.

Das PUR stellt sich vor

Das Promotionskolleg der Philosophischen Fakultäten der Universität Regensburg (PUR) ist ein Forschungsverbund für Promovierende der Fakultät für Philosophie, Kunst-, Geschichts- und Gesellschaftswissenschaften (PKGG) sowie der Fakultät für Sprach-, Literatur und Kulturwissenschaften (SLK).

Für alle, die aktuell in der SLK oder PKGG promovieren oder darüber nachdenken, eine Promotion zu beginnen, bieten wir am Mittwoch, 19.11. eine Infoveranstaltung zu der wir ganz herzlich einladen möchten!

Hier habt ihr Gelegenheit, die Köpfe hinter dem Promotionskolleg kennenzulernen. Außerdem werden wir unsere Mitglieder über ihre Erfahrungen im PUR zu Wort kommen lassen und einen Überblick geben, welche Veranstaltungen und Angebote wir regelmäßig organisieren.

Working on your dissertation together – joint writing week

During the lecture-free period, we are once again offering our popular writing sprints at the university. 

We will retreat for two short, intensive periods and motivate each other through joint work. No matter what stage of your dissertation you are at – in the middle of your research, in the heat of the writing phase, in the throes of procrastination, or in the final stages – you are very welcome! Everyone can benefit from group motivation! 

As always, you can spend your lunch breaks on your own or join us for a meal in the cafeteria.

Daily schedule: 9:00 a.m. start of work – 1-hour lunch break (together in the cafeteria or individually) – 5:00 p.m. end of work.

Masterclass: Melancholie & Empathie in der Promotionsphase

Historische Emotionsforschung im interdisziplinären Diskurs

We are delighted to announce that interdisciplinary music historian Prof. Dr. phil. Marie Louise Herzfeld-Schild (University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Institute for Musicology and Performance Research) will be leading this year's PUR masterclass! 

We cordially invite interested phd students and postdocs to her masterclass on the topic of “Melancholy and Empathy in the Doctoral Phase. Historical Emotion Research in Interdisciplinary Discourse.” The event will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026, in the große Sitzungssaal (PT 3.0.79) from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Contents: 
Prof. Dr. Herzfeld-Schild will discuss with the participants how research and phd studies can succeed across disciplinary boundaries and address questions about phd studies and academic careers. In the second part, we will examine selected texts on historical emotion research and interdisciplinarity and discuss interdisciplinary interfaces of our own phd/research topics.

All phd students and postdocs from the faculties SLK and PKGG are eligible to apply to participate in the masterclass; however, PUR members will be given preference. The number of participants is limited to 12. Registration is open until December 21, 2025, and is considered binding.

PUR introduces itself

The Doctoral College of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Regensburg (PUR) is a research network for doctoral students in the Faculty of Philosophy, Art, History, and Social Sciences (PKGG) and the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature, and Cultural Studies (SLK).

For anyone who is currently pursuing a phd at SLK or PKGG or is considering starting a phd, we are offering an information event on Wednesday, November 19th, to which we would like to cordially invite you!

You will have the opportunity to meet the people behind the doctoral program. We will also give our members a chance to talk about their experiences at PUR and provide an overview of the events and activities we regularly organize.
