A Global Perspective on the Digital Shift – Take Aways for Teacher Education and Schools

The three-day workshop "A Global Perspective on the Digital Shift - Takeaways for Teacher Education and Schools" will feature leading expert Professor Sarah Prestridge from Griffith University, Queensland, Australia. Participants will acquire valuable insights on the digital shift within primary, secondary, and higher education, which will include best practices from Australia and the United States. In addition, they will also generate ideas to enhance their curricula with this perspective in mind.

About Sarah Prestridge:

In both 2021 and 2020 Associate Professor Sarah Prestridge (Griffith University, Queensland, Australia) was named the top scholarly researcher in Teaching and Teacher Education in Australia. Her passion for transforming learning harnessing digital technologies has directed her career path from classroom teacher to university researcher. She was an early adopter of computers in the 90s who enthusiastically experimented with simulation software and online curriculum projects. Her innovative classroom approaches were recognized by leading a district ICT Lighthouse Project and ultimately led to being awarded a competitive APAI scholarship on an ARC linkage grant. Since then, her focus has been on providing leadership and professional learning in defining new ideas, approaches, and methods for engaging with digital technologies in schools and higher education.
