How can I apply?

Thank you for your interest in our consecutive Master's degree programme in Educational Science. Here you can find out everything you need to know about the application process.

Requirements

The following requirements apply to the Master's degree programme in Educational Science:

  1. Proof of a Bachelor's degree in Educational Science or an equivalent degree with an overall grade of at least "good" (2.50).
  2. Proof of programme-specific aptitude in accordance with the annex to the Examination Regulations (see below).
  3. German language skills at the level of the German Language Test for the University Entrance Qualification of Foreign Applicants (DSH) or an equivalent German examination.

Application procedure

The Master's degree programme is not subject to admission restrictions. Nevertheless, an application for the programme is required.

Applications are possible once a year from 15 May to 15 June. If you apply during this period, you can start the first semester of your Master's degree programme in the following winter semester.

Your Bachelor's degree certificate does not have to be available at the time of your application; a certificate of your previous examination results is sufficient.

Important: Unfortunately, applications submitted outside the specified period cannot be considered.

After the application deadline, the examination board will review your documents in the so-called aptitude assessment procedure. You will receive an acceptance or rejection letter within a few weeks.
