Master Ecology, Evolution and Conservation

The Faculty is working on introducing a new MSc program “Ecology, Evolution and Conversation (EEC)”. The programme will be mainly organized by the following working groups:

Why study the EEC master: this program is for students that want to specialize on organismic biology, with a focus on nature conservation as well as experimental and field ecology and evolution. The program has a dual focus on research and applied work, and consequently you will be able to qualify both for consecutive PhD in these fields, or for work in the state administration or NGOs that operate in the field of ecology / conservation.

How to apply: the EEC program is still in the process of legal / administrative evaluation. It is likely, but not certain, that we can admite the first cohort of students in the winter term 23 (Oct 23). If you are interested in the program, please re-check this website in summer 23.

Academic advisors: Prof. Dr. Hartig (ecology), Prof. Dr. Reisch (conservation), Prof. Dr. Schubart (evolution)
