In the article ‘Matrix-structured manufacturing systems: integrated planning of design and material supply’, Patrick Schumacher, Christian Weckenborg, Yannik Graupner and Thomas S. Spengler examine the integrated planning of system design and material supply in production systems in which the factors of production are arranged in a matrix structure.
The paper thus makes a further contribution to research into the cost-effective and flexible design of modern production systems.
