If you are studying an economics subject as part of a combinatorial Bachelor's degree programme (B.A.), the Humanities Examination Office is responsible for you.
Before the introduction of Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes, economics degree programmes concluded with a Diploma examination. You can call up diploma examination regulations (external link, opens in a new window) in the archive.
During the Corona pandemic, framework examination regulations (external link, opens in a new window) applied to all degree programmes at the UR.

Registration for the final thesis
You can register for Bachelor's and Master's theses only by using the application form, which you can find further down on this page.
Registration via LUCOM is currently only possible for the Chemistry degree programmes.
Examination registration for the winter semester 2025/26
The registration period for centrally organised examinations in the regular examination period (09 February to 06 March 2026) is from 14 November to 15 December 2025.
Registration also for repeat and catch-up examinations
Within this period, you must also register independently for examinations that you did not pass in your first attempt or from which you withdrew due to illness. There is no automatic registration!
No subsequent examination registration possible
As soon as the registration deadline for examinations has expired, you can no longer register yourself. Subsequent registration outside the registration period is not possible.
Different examination and registration periods
For examinations outside the regular examination period or examinations organised by the chairs themselves, the registration period may differ from the dates specified here.
Enrolment also required for repeat examinations
From now on, enrolment/re-registration is also required for repeat examinations!

Graduation ceremony 2026
Applications for certificates for the 2026 graduation ceremony must be received by the Examinations Office by 12 May 2026 at the latest

Repeat examinations
Enrolment required
From now on, enrolment/re-registration is also required for repeat examinations! (Art. 84 para. 1 sentence 7 BayHIG - enrolment requirement for all university examinations)
Retake period
A failed examination must generally be repeated in the following semester. This deadline is not suspended by exmatriculation or leave of absence. You must register independently via FlexNow to retake an examination, there is no automatic examination registration!
Waiver of a repeat examination
You can submit a declaration of waiver to waive your right to retake the examination. However, this is only possible if you have not yet taken the relevant repeat examination and, in the case of an existing and valid registration, the cancellation deadline has not yet expired.

Repeating a failed repeat examination (= 3rd attempt)
The third attempt must be taken in the semester following the first failed resit. The application must be submitted in good time so that registration for the third attempt can take place within the regular registration period.

Letterbox of the examination secretariat
You can post your documents in the Examination Office's letterbox. The letterbox is located next to the information centre and opposite the Examination Office for Teaching Degrees in Secondary Schools: Philosophy a theology building, room PT 1.1.12 D.
Please address the documents to the Examinations Office for Business Economics and Real Estate.
Please note: This is NOT a deadline letterbox, which is why it is NOT suitable for final theses !
You will find the university's deadline letterbox in front of the administration building.
