On Tuesday, 3 February 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sarah Kraft, Sustainability Manager at Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR), as a guest speaker in the Master's course "Supply Chain Management". We would like to thank her for her exciting, practical and informative presentation.

Under the title "Sustainability @MR: Responsibility in global supply chains", Ms Kraft gave a well-founded insight into the sustainability-related challenges of international supply chains. In particular, she focussed on the German Supply Chain Sustainability Act (LkSG) and its concrete implementation at MR. Real examples from corporate practice were used to illustrate the organisational, legal and operational requirements associated with assuming corporate responsibility.

The students were given a clear overview of risk analyses, preventive and remedial measures and how to deal with regulatory requirements in a global context. The strong practical relevance made it possible to directly link the theoretical content of the event with current issues in supply chain management.

The lively discussion during the lecture was a particular highlight. The Master's students made intensive use of the opportunity to ask questions and critically discuss the opportunities, limitations and challenges of sustainable supply chains - a clear sign of the great interest and high relevance of the topic.

We would like to thank Ms Kraft and MR once again for the visit and the valuable input and look forward to more exciting guest lectures from the world of business.
