As part of the Supply Chain Management lecture, we welcomed Mr Andreas Busch from Dataciders GmbH on Wednesday, 14 January 2026.

In his presentation "Efficient supply chain planning through high-quality data", Mr Busch explained how data-driven decision-making processes in modern supply chains lead to higher planning quality, faster response times and greater transparency. He demonstrated the role that data quality, system integration and AI-supported processes play in strategic, tactical and operational planning decisions.

This was particularly illustrated by several practical examples from industry, in which challenges such as heterogeneous planning processes, master data quality and complex coordination structures were addressed. This gave the students an insight into real-life use cases and enabled them to link the theoretical content of the lecture directly with company practice.
