The seminar offers students the opportunity to write their own paper in empirical economic research. The focus is on macroeconometrics, but microeconometrics and financial econometrics can also be considered. A connection to research at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) is also possible. In addition to the possible topics listed below, students are welcome to submit their own suggestions. The paper covers the motivation for the study, theoretical foundation, data search, empirical application using suitable software, and interpretation of the results.Instead of a seminar paper, a bachelor's thesis can also be written in the seminar. It is also possible to write a bachelor's thesis following a seminar paper. The start of the seminar paper is flexible and can also be brought forward to the semester break by arrangement. In particular, this makes it possible to attend the seminar in the sixth semester.
Registration for the seminar, including a preference list with three topic requests, should be sent to enzo.weber(at)wiwi.uni-regensburg.de (opens your email program).
