Chair of Programming and Software Engineering

Software engineering aims at the systematic development, maintenance, adaptation, and further development of large software systems using proven systematic procedures, principles, methods, and tools.

At the Chair of Programming and Software Engineering, we conduct research on concepts, methods, and tools for the engineering of complex, long-lived, software-intensive systems in various application domains using an integrated approach in collaboration with different disciplines. We develop novel methods based on SysML, UML, and domain-specific languages, e.g.,

  • to efficiently create digital twins for various types of systems (e.g., cyber-physical systems, socio-technical systems, software systems) and
  • to use model-driven engineering methods for creating information and assistive systems (e.g., for work,  administration, or healthcare).

Further information about our research can be found here (external link, opens in a new window) in our publications.
