Software engineering aims at the systematic development, maintenance, adaptation, and further development of large software systems using proven systematic procedures, principles, methods, and tools.
At the ChairofProgrammingandSoftwareEngineering, we conduct research on concepts, methods, and tools for the engineering of complex, long-lived, software-intensive systems in various application domains using an integrated approach in collaboration with different disciplines. We develop novel methods based on SysML, UML, and domain-specific languages, e.g.,
to efficientlycreatedigitaltwinsforvarioustypesofsystems (e.g., cyber-physicalsystems, socio-technicalsystems, softwaresystems) and
to usemodel-drivenengineering methodsfor creating informationandassistive systems (e.g., for work, administration, orhealthcare).
