Workshop: School and schooling in a migration society

General and subject-specific didactical perspectives

In preparation for the conference “School and schooling in a migration society. General and subject-specific didactical perspectives”, which takes place on July 3 and 4, 2020, at the University of Regensburg, scientists from various departments and universities met on June 13th, 2019 for joint workshop. Following an invitation by Prof. Dr. Paul Mecheril and Prof. Dr. Meike Munser-Kiefer the participants discussed namely the following questions:

• Which contents and forms of mediation are central for school education in a migration society?
• If (world) migration society is systematically taken seriously as a fact, what are the consequences for the contents and methods of different subjects?

The results and newly raised questions of the discussion will be included in the conference on July 3rd and 4th, 2020.
